End Exploitation Montana is excited to offer elementary schools within the state of Montana a grant opportunity to bring White Ribbon Week to your school.

Grant Description
Twenty schools throughout the state of Montana will receive a $250 grant to facilitate White Ribbon Week in their elementary school. ($100 for the program materials and parent video, and $150 discretionary funds to facilitate White Ribbon Week).
Grant Goals

To educate and empower 15,000 students throughout the state with skills to keep them safe online.

To educate and empower parents, guardians, and teachers with the skills to help children navigate the digital world with confidence and develop healthy attitudes towards media and technology.
Grant Requirements

Applicant schools must be elementary level
-
Applicant schools must be within the state of Montana
-
Grant recipients must complete the White Ribbon Week program “I’ve Got the Power!” within the 2020-2021 school year, or by May 30, 2021

Grant recipients must Include parent outreach efforts as part of the White Ribbon Week program. Ideas for parent meetings are included in the materials, and the provided parent video must be distributed to all parents and guardians.

Grant recipients must provide the link to the electronic feedback form for the school’s educators, parents, and students to complete. This feedback is vital in tracking the efficacy of the program.

Grant recipients must complete and submit the required summary report, including a financial report of how money was spent, within 30 days of completing the program.
Grant Application
To apply, the following electronic application form must be submitted by August 1, 2020. Please note that each application will require the following information:

Elementary school name, address, principal and contact information

Name and contact information of program organizer

Number of classrooms on campus

Number of students on campus
Fund Usage
$100 of the $250 total grant will be used to purchase the White Ribbon Week Grant Bundle, which includes the following:

1 printed Facilitation Guide
-
1 Digital Facilitation Guide
-
1 Digital Discussion Guide for each teacher
-
1 Digital parent video website link for your school
Bundles can be picked up locally in Billings, Montana, or shipped to a location for $25. Additional supporting materials may be purchased from White Ribbon Week at the time the grant is awarded. These materials can be selected and shipped with the White Ribbon Week grant bundle.
The remaining $150 of the $250 total grant will be used at the discretion of the school/program organizer, for the purpose of enhancing White Ribbon Week. For example, these funds may be used for the following:

Treats or prizes for lunchtime activities

Incentives for student and parent participation

Distribution of parent information

Educational books for the school library

All grant applications meeting the aforementioned criteria will be reviewed by the board of End Exploitation Montana. Recipients will be notified by August 31, 2020.
