Thanks to a generous donation, End Exploitation Montana will be offering elementary schools within the state of Montana a grant opportunity to bring White Ribbon Week to your school.

WHAT IS 

WHITE RIBBON WEEK?

White Ribbon Week is a positive, empowering week-long school program that teaches kids to make smart choices online and to reject harmful media messages. Every day, kids learn a new empowering principle of behavior—reinforced through discussions and activities. This program is researched and kid tested. Kids have a blast while learning something so vitally important!

Grant Description 

Fifteen schools throughout the state of Montana will receive a grant to facilitate White Ribbon Week in their elementary school. The grant will be worth $175, with no cost to the school.

Grant Goals

  • To educate and empower students throughout the state with skills to keep them safe online. 

  • To educate and empower parents, guardians, and teachers with the skills to help children navigate the digital world with confidence and develop healthy attitudes towards media and technology​.

 

Grant Requirements

  • Applicant schools must be elementary level.

  • Applicant schools must be within the state of Montana.

  • Grant recipients must complete the White Ribbon Week program “I’ve Got the Power!” by May 30, 2023.

  • Grant recipients must include parent outreach efforts as part of the White Ribbon Week program. Ideas for parent outreach are included in the materials.

  • Provided parent video must be distributed to all parents and/or guardians.

  • Grant recipients must provide the link to the electronic feedback form for the school’s educators and parents to complete. This feedback is vital in tracking the efficacy of the program. This link is provided on the parent video page.  

 

Grant Application

To apply, the following attached electronic application form must be submitted. Fifteen schools will be awarded the grant. Please note that each application will require the following information:

  • Elementary school name, address, principal and contact information

  • Name and contact information of program organizer

  • Number of students on campus​

 

All grant applications meeting the aforementioned criteria will be reviewed by the board of End Exploitation Montana. Recipients will be notified by December 31, 2022.
